Chris is from Salt Lake City, Utah. At the base the majestic Wasatch Mountains and a number of great trails and lakes, Chris gained a love of the outdoors. Now in Southern Oregon he feels right at home, surrounded by nature. He comes to the News 10 team from KTVX in Salt Lake. Prior to graduating with a Mass Communication BA in Electronic Journalism from the University of Utah, Chris interned at KUTV, a top rated CBS affiliate. At both stations, Chris worked side by side with some of the state's great reporters, anchors and news people. Chris loves the news business because every day he sees new places and meets new people. He thrives on the diversity of people, cultures and ideas. Chris is thrilled to be in the Rogue Valley covering the good, the bad, and the stories that matter most to Southern Oregon and Northern California. Chris is a new daddy. His wife, Janice, gave birth to their first child in December of 2007; a beautiful little girl. When not on a story, Chris enjoys quiet evenings at home with his family (or as quiet as evenings can get with a newborn). Chris loves to travel. He's spent time in England, South East Asia and Canada. He is also an avid music fan. He finds great comfort in singing and playing his guitars.
